  • How are CVSOM Programmes different from others?
    The equipping process may begin with teaching, but it will mostly certainly not end there. Every course will include practical training sessions where lessons are applied, the Word activated and faith exercised. CVSOM programmes have been structured with a holistic approach to provide the necessary training and exposure for each participant.
  • What is the Certificate in Practical Christian Ministry all about? ​
    The Certificate in Practical Christian Ministry is a one-year basic, entry-level programme designed to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. At the same time, it will challenge them to a deeper walk with God for spiritual growth and life transformation. Through a well-rounded and well-balanced approach, this programme will be a good mix of instruction and application. Not only will you be a hearer of the Word, but also a doer of the Word.
  • How long will it take me to complete the programme?
    Certificate Programme: FAST Track: One year. FLEXI Track: Maximum of two years.
  • Which days are classes normally held on?
    Certificate Equipping Courses: Wednesday nights Growth & Application Opportunities: Saturdays & Sundays
  • What time are the Equipping Courses?
    All Equipping Courses start punctually at 7:30pm and end at 10:00pm.
  • How many times a week do I need to come for classes?
    Equipping Courses are held once a week.
  • Do I need to have a full-time ministry call to enrol?
    Not at all. CVSOM programmes are specially designed for anyone in the body of Christ with a desire to be used by God.
  • Must I quit my job to take this programme?
    Not at all. Seminars and classes are held on weeknights and on weekends so more people can be trained for the Kingdom. Depending on the nature of the Growth and Application Opportunities, there may be a need to take leave from time to time.
  • Are there exams and assignments to prepare for?
    There will no exams to mug for. However, there may be simple quizzes, assignments and reports from time to time, as determined by the Course Instructors. The emphasis of this programme is practical application.
  • Is this programme accredited to any academic institution?
    No. Accreditation will mean that academic requirements will be pushed up and course requirements increased. This will lead to a greater work and study load for the students. CVSOM wants to maintain a manageable curriculum so that students are not overtaxed in any way.
  • Does the absence of accreditation mean lower standards?
    Not at all. CVSOM is committed to providing Word-based, Spirit-led and Faith-filled teaching and training through its faculty of practitioners who not only teach the Word but also personally live the Word.
  • Why must I apply for and be interviewed for admission?
    This application procedure allows us to get to know you and to understand your goals and desires. This will form the basis of a relationship with you as you embark on the programme.
  • Why must I pay a Registration Fee upon approval of my application to admission?
    This nominal fee covers the administration of the application process, as well as that of your Student's Record throughout the entire programme.
  • How much do the courses cost?
    CVSOM programmes have been greatly subsidised so more people can be trained and equipped for ministry. Each Equipping Course is only S$100. The cost of Growth & Application Opportunities will vary in accordance to the duration and venue of the event.
  • What do course fees cover?
    Course fees cover operational and administration expenses, course notes and handouts (if any). It does not include text books or other reference materials that the Course Instructors may require from course to course.
  • When are course fees due?
    All fees are to be paid in advance, prior to attending the programme.
  • What is the procedure if my church wants to sponsor me for this programme?
    We will require a formal letter from your pastor instructing us to bill your church accordingly.
  • Can I apply for financial assistance?
    Currently, there is no financial assistance programme in place. However, if this is an area of concern for you, we can discuss this aspect with you and assess the situation on a case-to-case basis.
